Northeastern / Northern Combined Team Registration
After a successful trial run in 2022 of combining with Northeastern LL (NELL) at the Majors Baseball division, as a league, we have made the decision to further integrate our two leagues across all divisions for the 2023 Spring session.
As many of you know, we already work closely with NELL both during our Fall Ball session as well as with interleague play during the Spring season. Additionally, with both leagues drawing from GRPS schools as well as proximity of their fields to our boundary (Huff Park), it is a natural fit to explore a more formal combination of our two leagues.
How Do I Register?
All registration for the Spring 2023 session will be done on NELL’s website, www.nellgr.com. We both use the same registration system, SportsConnect, so you can log in to their website using the exact same login credentials you use for our website and all player data and information will transfer over.

*NOTE: During each respective registration, please choose the School Eligibility option and select “Northern Little League” as the school from the dropdown list.
What does this mean for Northern LL?
For 2023, Northern LL will still operate as a stand alone league even though all registrations, communications, game scheduling, branding, etc. will be under the NELL umbrella. Longer term, both leagues are continuing to discuss a more formal merger and our hope is that for 2024 we will operate as a single entity in the eyes of Little League International.
We are also currently discussing a go-forward plan with Riverside and our fields, but I can assure you that NELL’s facilities at Huff Park are great. For 2023, both Riverside and Huff will be used for practices and games but the primary fields will be at Huff Park.
With this being Northern’s 60th year in existence, this is not a decision we took lightly, but long term, it will benefit our kids greatly to join forces with NELL.
